It looks like we’re good to go, and we have your action here at the best sports bar in New Orleans!
After lots of talk it’s now being reported that Vasyl Lomachenko (10-1, 8 KOs) will be moving up in weight once again to challenge Jorge Linares (44-3, 27 KOs) for his WBA lightweight title.
Lomachenko is coming off a dominant performance of Guillermo Rigondeaux last December, in a fight where he broke the Cuban’s will much more than his body. Rigondeaux packed it in after six rounds of being thoroughly outboxed (clearly an unfamiliar situation for him) and has since disappeared from the scene. His once so active Twitter account hasn’t had a post since the night of the fight.
Meanwhile Linares is coming off a unanimous decision win over Mercito Gesta in January. He’s riding a 13-fight winning streak since last losing to Sergio Thompson in early 2012.
What are your early predictions for this fight?
